A team of five runners will complete the entire marathon distance. Each runner will run one leg of varying distance handing off a runners belt containing your scoring chip to the next team member at each relay exchange zone. The course is the same as the marathon course. Exchange zones will be marked with flags, cones and divided into blue and red hand-off zones. Handoffs must occur within these zones.
A runner who wants to be part of a relay team and the half marathon or marathon event may do so by acting as the first leg of the relay team and continuing on. The runner is also required to register for the individual event and the 5-Person Marathon Relay.

Relay teams can pick up their race packet or register at the Expo on Saturday April 27, 2013 at the Savage Hall Arena. Also, one team member may pick up packets for other team members.
Make sure to pick up the relay exchange point instructions, your relay runner belt and your colored hand-off zone bracelets.
We will be available to answer relay questions all day Saturday at the Marathon Exposition (at the registration table.)
Race day packet pick-up will be available in Savage Hall Arena beginning at 5:30am

All team members must meet the age criteria to be entered in the Masters >40 and Grand Masters >50.
All team members are required to wear a race number visible on their front. Your chip timing device will be attached to a runner belt. Only ONE runner belt will be provided to each team. Each runner belt must be turned in at the finish line.
ALL RELAY TEAMS ARE REQUIRED TO PROVIDE THEIR OWN TRANSPORTATION! All parking must be in legal spots or lots. The course is OPEN to traffic. There will be congestion in several areas so allow plenty of time and be careful.
Relay Exchange Zones will be marked with cones, flags and divided into blue and red hand-off zones. Teams will be provided with five blue or red bracelets designating their hand-off zone. Hand-offs must occur within the marked zones. All team members must remain in or behind the zones until their team member arrives at the exchange point. RELAY TEAM MEMBERS MUST KEEP THE EXCHANGE ZONES AND THE MARATHON COURSE CLEAR.

Location is at the 5.1 mile mark, the corner of Edgehill and Valley View Drive in Ottawa Hills, OH.
Parking is available at Epworth Church in the back lot, South side of the building.Epworth needs the parking lot for 8:30am service SO PLEASE USE THE CHURCH AS TEMPORARY EXCHANGE POINT 1 PARKING ONLY. Restrooms also available at Epworth Church back parking lot.
Exchange Point #2
Location is at the 11.2 mile mark, the entrance to Cougar Lane in Sylvania, OH.
Parking is available at Sylvania Southview High School in the back lot. Restrooms available at the exchange point.
Exchange Point #3
Location is at the 15.95 mile mark, Tam O Shanter, Sylvania OH.
Parking is available at Tam O Shanter facility. Restrooms available at the exchange point.
Exchange Point #4
Just before the 20.9 mile mark in front of the historic Manor House, Wildwood MetroPark, Toledo, OH.
Parking is available near the Metz Visitor Center or at the Ward Pavilion. Restrooms available at the exchange point.
