What are the age limits for all events?
You must be at least 16 years old to enter the full marathon. There are no age limits in the relays or 5K. The half marathon is open to those 10 years and older. A parent or guardian must sign a waiver if participant is under 18. The kid’s races are limited to ages 12 and under.
Is the race a “Boston Qualifier”?
Yes, the race course is a certified race course and can serve as a qualifier.
Can I walk the Half Marathon?
Yes! The course primarily travels the University Parks Trail and is closed to traffic. The finish line will be open until 1pm.
What flavor of sports drink is served on the course?
Gatorade Lemon/Lime
Are there energy gels on the course?
Yes. Crank energy gel will be provided throughout the course.
Port-A-Johns – how many and where?
There are port-a-johns at the start, finish and at locations around the course.
Do you have facilities for showers after the race?
Yes, showers will be available at the Rec Center.
Where can I park?
There are numerous parking lots throughout the University of Toledo Campus. Parking lot 10 will be closed on race weekend. Either parking garages are the recommended areas to park.
Are strollers allowed on the course?
Strollers are allowed in the 5K event, ONLY. Not in any other event.
What does the race benefit?
Our goal is to contribute to several area charities including the Great Lakes Autism, Leukemia Lymphoma Society, and youth running scholarships.
What is the policy on refunds and registration changes?
There are NO refunds or deferments of entry fees.
You may transfer from the marathon to a relay team, 1/2 marathon, or the 5K - no refunds will be made.
Can I give my entry to a friend?
No. There are no refunds or transfers allowed.
Headphones:
The use of personal music devices is strongly discouraged at this race. To enjoy all that our race has to offer and for the safety of all participants, The Glass City Marathon encourages a headphone-free environment during the running of The Glass City Marathon.
