Timing services are being provided by Gault Race Management for the Marathon, Half-Marathon, 5-Person Marathon Relay and 5K using Chronotrack disposable tags. Mats will be placed along the course and at the start and finish.
Gault Race Management is proud to announce the implementation of ChronoTrack, a new system that uses a disposable tag called, a B-Tag. One of the many goals of the ChronoTrack system is to simplify the timing process for athletes. The B-Tag eliminates the need for you, the athlete, to worry about turning a chip in after the race. This allows you to relax and focus on competing. Shorter lines at packet pick up and you do not have to return your tag or B-Tag at the finish. These are benefits of using the ChronoTrack system.
The B-Tag comes attached to your BIB number. There is nothing you need to do except attach your BIB to your body in the following manner:
Live runner tracking and social media messaging is rapidly becoming the standard in the runningindustry today. Race participants want to connect with their colleagues, friends and family to share their excitement and pride in accomplishing a goal.
XAct Text and Social Media Messaging has a proven track record for providing fast, accurate and reliablemessaging at running events throughout the country. Runner’s times are communicated at select locations to anyone who signs up for the service. Family and friends are alerted to a runner’s progress during the race and/or at the finish, allowing them to share the excitement throughout the event andcheer their runner at the end.
Gault Race Management has partnered with XAct to offer this exciting service. WithXAct, runners times are collected at select timing locations on the course and communicated through four media – Text (SMS), Email, Facebook and Twitter. All messages feature the race name, sponsor,runner name, time at location, pace and projected finish time. Facebook can also feature the race and/or sponsor logo.
Some events who used the XAct Text and Social Media Messaging service in 2011 are: Disney Marathon,Pittsburgh Marathon, Cleveland Marathon, Indy Mini Marathon, JPM Chase Corporate Challenge, L.A.Marathon, Akron Marathon, Crim Festival of Races, Brooksie Way Half Marathon, US Road Sports 13.1Race Series, Utica Boiler Maker, Falmouth Road Race, Army 10 Miler, St. George Marathon, PhiladelphiaMarathon, Marine Corp Marathon.
Registration will occur 10 days prior to race date.
Runners interested in sharing their race day status on Facebook, Twitter, or text will need to register. There will be no cost to participants in the Medical Mutual Glass City Marathon and this service will be available in the Marathon and Half Marathon events.
